Dear SirAt the begining let me thank you on behalf of our association for starting this wonderful service. This is an excellent initiative by the corporation to get feedback, suggestions from the residents.I am writing this email on behalf of our RGL dream bungalow residents' association, Cauvery street, Lakshmi Nagar, Mugalivakkam. Chennai -125. Our residence falls under Ward No. 156 under Alandur Zone (Zone No. 12, If I am correct). Ours is a gated community with around 100 individual housess. Near our locality, there are around 2000 houses. During every rainy season , as excess water is released from Chembaramabakkam lake, the flood water, all the way from, Chembarambakkam, Mangaadu, Moulivakkam, etc flows through the residential locality and passes through our cauvery street and enters into our gated community. The flood water further further passes thru the nearby cultivated paddy field thereby damaging the crop also. This year the situation was even worse. It has totally damaged the recently laid road in cauvery street. The sad part is, very near to our residence, at the end of the cauvery street, there is a canal which should server as a feeder line for the water discharged from the Chembarambakkm lake. This canal water, I think flows into the neary by adyar river near Nandambakkam. However this canal is not effective as we hear, it is blocked due to silt, debris or garbage.Inorder to avoid this flood water entering into our locality, we have the following requests.
- The canal can be desilted at the blockage points so that the excess released water from chembarambakkam lake flows thru the canal all along till it reaches the adyar river
- A storm water drain can be built along the streets so that water from cauvery street and other near by streets flows through the drain and reaches the canal.
I have attached a simple pdf schematic diagram showing the canal and the proposed storm water drain. Please have a look at it. The corporation may also validate and based on its expertise can provide appropriate solution.May we request the concerned authorities to look into the above issue and help the residents of MugalivakkamThanking you in advance.yours sincerelyfor RGL Residents' associationG. I have talked to two persons in different occasions involved in surveying and checking the bed level of the canal.
I raised the same doubt whether the new drain will be connected to the canal.
They have confirmed that it will be connected to the canal after some time.

Dear Sir,
Mr G M Muthukumar is badly impacted since he is staying in the boundary of phase4. Intrusion of snakes, cattle, thieves will cause serious problems not only for phase 4 , but also for the whole campus.
Request you to construct the compound wall in phase 4 at the earliest.
Regards,
R Gurunathan
