Dear list,
Four years ago when we started the DepthKit project (then called RGBDToolkit), we imagined a future where live action video could be re-photographed, after the fact, from any angle.
A future requiring this technology came faster than we ever could have dreamed. As a result, we're dramatically shifting our focus from prototype to product - and we want you, our trusted early adopters, to come along with us for the ride. We'll always have a free version of DepthKit - easy and accessible for anyone who is curious to get started - but we're excited to now focus development on meeting the needs of professional creators in the community.
Back the Blackout Kickstarter at the DIY level to get exclusive access to DepthKit updates from here on out: http://kck.st/1LjOeVd - you have 15 hours left
It's in its final hours now (ends 10am EST), so anyone on this list who is interested in continuing to get software updates as we develop this new version, please consider backing at the $290 level, a preferential price that will roll over into paid licenses going forward. Your trust will be rewarded through being grandfathered in to new versions.
We're really looking forward to inventing the future of filmmaking with you! This list is here for discussing any questions you may have, We're so grateful for your participation in this nascent, yet prescient, practice of volumetric filmmaking!
Yours,
--
