rgbdemo and kinect2

Hi!

Has anyone tried rgbdemo with the new kinect2 (based on the kinect for xbox one) sdk?
After a long time waiting I finally receive my kinect2 on Monday and wonder if
this will be working with rgbdemo.

are there any news on this?

As far as I could see the latest update on rgbdemo and nestk is from six years ago.

I am wondering if it would be possible to perform skeleton tracking using rgbdemo, nestk, and Kinect 2 on Ubuntu 18.04?

If this is not possible, is anyone familiar with another framework like rgbdemo and nestk that I could check out?

Hi,

As stated on the website rgbdemo is not actively maintained anymore, so Kinect 2 support will probably never happen. Also skeleton tracking was done via Nite, which will never work with Kinect 2. 

So to experiment with skeleton tracking the easiest is probably to use the official Kinect for Windows SDK directly (on Windows).
