The PF department (EPFO) has introduced
UNIVERSAL ACCOUNT NUMBER (UAN) for its members which is a welcome change
as it would improve governance in the EPFO and minimize paperwork in the
long run. We are awaiting further details from the PF department
on the UAN registration process.
In the interim, you might be prompted with
a message "Activate your UAN based registration" upon
logging in to the PF portal. Please wait for a detailed communication
to be sent out on steps required to complete the registration shortly.
