Thunderstorm Warning for Blue Mountains, Katoomba and surrounds this evening.
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a warning that Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce large hailstones and damaging winds over the next several hours in the Illawarra and parts of the South Coast, Central Tablelands and Southern Tablelands districts.
Locations which may be affected include Nowra, Bowral, Bathurst and Katoomba.
There is a line of storms currently stretching between Oberon and Nowra, moving east towards the Mountains, Southern Highlands, Illawarra and Greater Sydney areas. As we have seen over the past couple of days, these storms can also bring flash flooding and lots of lightning.
For emergency help in floods and storms, ring the SES (NSW and ACT) on 132 500
For any life-threatening emergency, call '000' immediately!
