Just an FYI to the community about the latest release of ginjo-rfm v3.0.0.

Version 3.0.0 is now available on Rubygems.org. The biggest change is the complete rewrite of the XML parsing engine, eliminating the dependency on ActiveSupport. You can install ginjo-rfm v3 and have it up & running without having to install ActiveSupport, Nokogiri, or any other gems or binary dependencies. This means you can use ginjo-rfm on a completely stock OS X machine - no need to mess with XCode, Developer Tools, GCC, or any other cranky compiling tools.

You can still install the alternative XML parsers (nokogiri, libxml-ruby, ox) and achieve faster parsing than Ruby's built-in rexml, but the default rexml running on a relatively modern machine with Ruby 1.9.x or 2.x works quite well. You can also install ActiveModel (and it's pre-requisite, ActiveSupport)  and gain ActiveModel features in your rfm data models.

There are many other under-the-hood changes and fixes in version 3, and hopefully they will address some of the unsolved issues lurking about. Feel free to try it out, and let us know how it goes.

Regards,
Bill Richardson

Yikes... just discovered that one of the utility directories was not included in the released gem. I'll git that fixed and update to 3.0.1.
