Invitation: 'Legal Systems for a Transformative Future'

RFGI events are back!!

After a long break, we are back with an interactive session on 'Legal Systems for a Transformative Future', which will be taking place on Tuesday, 27th October from 6:00 PM to 7.30 PM, at Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA).  

We are delighted that J. Kim Wright, an American Lawyer and author of American Bar Association best-seller "Lawyers as Peacemakers- Practicing Holistic and Problem Solving Law" has kindly accepted our invitation and will be joining us for the session. J. Kim Wright is a leader of the Integrative Law Movement and has dedicated her life to transforming the legal profession worldwide. We are really looking forward to facilitating this debate and create sharing of ideas between the audience and her. 

This session comes at a time when questions are being raised about the Indian legal system and its effectiveness from different quarters. Apart from the excruciatingly long waiting period, heavy pendency of cases, and stifling corruption, the system leaves a large number of loopholes making it highly vulnerable for manipulation. What could be the way forward for the system to remain meaningful for the people of India? What are some of the lessons India can learn from other countries?

We look forward to exploring these questions at this interactive session. The session will be followed by refreshments and we hope you will join us in this special event!
