The movie follows a young man named Mike Schmidt who takes on a job working as a night guard at the shutdown restaurant Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. The player incarnates a freshly hired security guard at a place called Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. You soon receive a phone call warning you that the restaurant's animatronic mascots - Bonnie, Chica, Foxy the Pirate and the titular Freddy Fazbear - are on the loose at night, that a programming malfunction will make them believe that you are a naked animatronic, and that they will attempt to catch you and stuff you into a robotic suit.
