Aloha,

I have a year old mac pro running latest OSX but cannot get its software to find the Explorer.
I tried it thru my USB hub, direct to the front of the Mac, thru the keyboard, at least 6 different cables, reboots, but no communication seems to happen. any ideas?

Mahalo,

Ernie

Hi Ernie,

I've been told this is most likely caused by not having the USB Bridge driver installed in your Mac. Can you please install the latest from Silabs driver at : http://www.silabs.com/Support%20Documents/Software/Mac_OSX_VCP_Driver.zip and see if that resolves your problem?

Best regards,
Ariel

Indeed. I've got a version going through apple review which has an extra check - and warns you if it cannot find a SiliconLabs driver. But as it checks drivers in the kernel - it needs an extra approval step from Apple - so this will take a bit.

That sounds like a very useful addon step!

Thanks for the tip. I downloaded the Silicon Labs Driver for Mac.
After I installed the driver, I opened the Mac App "iRF Explorer" and
it recognized my device immediately WSUB1G. I also purchased the 2.4
ghz module and it is recognized as well. It seems to work perfectly
now. I like the App. Considering it is free and I am sure it took a
lot of time to create, it does a very good job of displaying the
information from the spectrum analyzer. Thanks for all the info guys!
