Hi,

I am working on a project to program and read RFID tags at high speeds.  I am looking for a tool that can help me measure strength of 915 +- mhz.  What I am actually trying to do is to tune the radio so it has enough power to program the tag, but keep the power low enough not to interfere with other tags near by, being my number one concern.  I guess what I am trying to accomplish is a sniffer that will allow me to tune a system to see my surroundings with-in a 5 to 8 inch area of view.  I do not have any instruments currently and open to suggestions.  I saw the rf explorer spectrum analyzer and wonder if this would work for my application, able to be tuned to see only my desired area of frequency and tune-able to see only a very close approximation, not the entire building.
