Because I purchased my RF Explorer mostly just to 'play' with and learn more about RF, perhaps this wouldn't be as useful for those who are using it for actual analysis work, but I figured I'd toss the idea out anyhow. Unless I'm testing a specific piece of equipment, I'm just using the RF-Ex as a 'visual radio scanner' to browse through the entire spectrum, looking for interesting peaks. When I find something interesting, the only way to 'zoom in' on a peak is to go into the menu and manually adjust the frequency span (and hopefully guess close enough on how much span is needed). Then, when I'm done, I need to 'zoom out' via the same method.
What I'd like to have is a way to adjust the frequency span by using the arrow keys. Obviously, this would need a way to switch between 'pan' and 'zoom' modes, but I think this could be done by holding down a pair of arrow keys simultaneously. Ideally, I'd love to have two more keys for 'zoom in' and 'zoom out' on the bottom (the keypad is just begging for a nice 3x3 button grid), but maybe that can happen in a future hardware revision...
