Hello,
does anyone have experience in measuring 5G base station signals using the RF-Explorer?
I am using the model 6G combo plus slim with an appropriate antenna covering
the frequency range 3400-3800 MHz. As compared to a calibrated machines
i am getting up to 20 dB more with the RF Explorer.
I wonder whether the right module has been specifically conceived for strongly pulsed signal (as in my understanding all started with wi-fi), which is the case for 5G signal,
This may partly explain the high sensitivity for this kind of signal.
Another reason my be the time constant for measuring the signal at each frequency bin.
For 5G the typical span is around 100MHz. What would be the time constant?
Any experience or suggestion?
Thanks a lot,
Marco
