Hi Ariel,

I have been using my RF Explorer 3G combo for a while now and I have a couple of questions and observations that I believe some other users might have on their minds.

I use the RF Explorer 3G Combo for measuring the RSSI ,RSCP, RSRP and RSQP ( Signal strength ) for GSM,UMTS and LTE but I cannot use this device to measure the Ec/Io for CDMA, UMTS  and LTE

Is there any plan in the works for introducing measurement of Ec/Io for RF ( CDMA, UMTS and LTE  or is there a new software or module in the works that can can be integrated into the RF Explorer to enable the 3G Combo

and 6G Combo to be able to measure Ec/Io and SNR for GSM,CDMA,UMTS and LTE(4G)

For now using the device to measure Ec/Io and SNR is not possible and this is very in area of RF as the Ec/Io is a measure of quality of the Signal.

Looking forward to get a positive response on this request.

Regards

Dapo

Hi Dapo,

RF Explorer does not perform Ec/Io as it has no special information about the signal, it is not a signal analyzer and has no capabilities beyond spectrum analysis. You will need a signal analyzer for this.

Hi Ariel,

Thanks for the update.
Though I was thinking there was a way this can be incorporated.
I would have to look for another device in the market that can do signal analyzing though it would probably come very expensive.

Thanks

Dapo
