This email is being forwarded on from the school mailing list for informational purposes as it represents an issue of potentially broad interest to the community.
Dear Community Members,
In the past few weeks the board and administration have been reviewing and analyzing many options to address the facility needs of the district. We are still seeking input from community members, specifically any important concerns or suggestions you may have regarding the track and field improvements. We encourage you to come and share your thoughts at our upcoming board meeting, which will begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20th in the Lecture Room of the high school. We will not be presenting at this meeting; just listening.
We will evaluate all the ideas with respect to cost, how well they address our specific field overuse problems, and how they align with opinions expressed in the exit poll and by the community over the past few months. We will then hold a workshop for the community on Wednesday, December 4th, at 7 p.m. in the high school cafeteria, at which we will present potential plans and then give the community a chance to evaluate through focus groups. Community input from this session will help to shape a final proposal, which we will try to complete before the winter holidays.
Again, we encourage the community to be involved in the planning stages of the proposal and hope that many will attend one or both of these upcoming sessions. (We will send out more details regarding the December 4th workshop next week.)
We also want to remind people who do not have children in the school that they can sign up to receive emails from the school directly by contacting the district clerk at Gena...@hohschools.org (478-6206) or by completing the form found in the Quick Links section of the district website at www.hohschools.org.
Sincerely,
Eileen Baecher
