Today is the Vote

It's been interesting to run this ReynoldsField list over the past year - initially as a way to open dialogue and debate about the Reynolds Field project and later to share opinions and information about the new Bond proposal. 

After tonight's announcement of results, I'll be closing the list. While it's interesting, there's also a lot of spam to filter and email responses from members who don't want to post themselves, but want me to try to clarify other posters' positions. It's just too much for me, and not particularly constructive. 

I figure it's better to announce this now, so that no one can construe it as statement on the voting outcome. 

I do hope something passes, so we can get on with things and use State money. I'm not too optimistic about Cuomo keeping the matching funds intact after this next budget round. Without that money, a significantly smaller project will actually cost the town more...

Vote today, however you want. Just vote. High School Gym. Read the descriptions next to the little levers in the booth. They do explain things quite clearly if anyone is still confused. 

Meanwhile, if you are interested in discussing school things and future votes, HastingsKidsCount is still alive. I will keep that one going  - just so the effort expended to join up isn't wasted. If you want to join, go to:

But I think this Reynolds Group is almost entirely made up of Hastings Kids Count members, anyway.
