Break-in on Elsie 4/17

We had an attempted break-in on 4/10 at around 8:20, they broke the
outer pane of glass on our side door, but we came home and interrupted
them before they could break the inside.

Our across the street neighbor unfortunately had a successful break-in
the following Thursday (4/17) at around the same time.

I had setup video recording after our break-in, so was able to capture a
video showing a white sedan pulling up, and 3 people going in the side
yard, where they then broke glass and entered. 6 minutes in and out,
exact same MO. I have already sent the video to MVPD:

Please be on the lookout for that car and those folks, especially around
sunset. Apparently on Thursdays?

You appear to live in a house (or next door to a house) that was a recent rebuild (or at least shows on google street view as under construction.  Another house on my street (mentioned by mvpd to me, I haven't seen on this mailing list yet) also shows that way, so I wonder if they're finding places of interest on google street view and if that doesn't work, just trying a nearby opportunity that presents itself.

could that have been there before? especially with the clean edges, it looks exactly like the way lumber yards mark the sides of large wood stacks for easy identification like these examples:
