Call for Volunteers & Loaner Items – Rex Manor Block Party! (June 7th)

Hi Rex Manor Neighbors,
Our annual block party is just around the corner on Sunday, June 7th, and we need your help to make it a fantastic success! To pull this off, we are looking for a few helping hands and some essential items we can borrow for the day.
Please take a look at the lists below and let us know if you can pitch in or lend any gear.
📦 Items We Need to Borrow
If you have any of the following that we can borrow, please let us know!
Ice boxes / Coolers: We need a total of 10. (We specifically need these dropped off or picked up on Friday night, June 5th, so we can prep them).
BBQs: 5 grills total.
Canopies / Pop-up Tents: As many as we can get to ensure plenty of shade!
Plastic tables: 5 or 6 folding tables.
Large beverage tub: An extra tub specifically for sodas.
🧑🍳 Volunteer Help Needed
We have split the volunteer roles into prep work and day-of setup. Any time you can give is highly appreciated!
1. Food Prep (Chopping & Slicing)
Slicing tomatoes
Chopping onions
Slicing red bell peppers
Prepping cucumbers
Cutting up cantaloupe
Cutting up watermelon
We will supply aluminum serving trays along with the fruit and vegetables to the volunteers doing the prep work.
2. Physical Setup (Day-Of)
Setting up canopies
Moving picnic tables and BBQs into place
Covering picnic tables with plastic tablecloths
Setting up the main serving tables
Setting up the food serving line
3. Tear Down, Clean-up
Fold up canopies
Collect trash and recycling
return picnic tables to Theuerkauf
Load BBQs & plastic tables into trailer for return
