Suspicious person -- Redbearded male on a white segway noon, lied about being pest control

Hello all,

Today jujst before noon, I saw a guy coming from our neighbor's yard after I saw him standing in front of it for a long while tapping on a tablet. He had a name tag lanyard, but it was turned backwards. He "introduced himself" by name (Mike Avery?) and claimed to do 2 of our neighbor's pest control. He identified them by name and asked if we were interested in being added to the folks who were being treated today. (From a Segway?)

He claimed not to have any cards or fliers when I asked for one (which also made me wonder what the purpose of entering my neighbor's front yard was).

I confirmed with one of the named neighbors that their pest control agency is not just a single guy, they've never interacted with a redhead, and furthermore that their agency completed their pest control treatment about 10 days ago. 

Finally, after I spoke with him, he rode his white Segway away, down the block, without trying to stop and solicit any other neighbors on the block.

So, obviously, nothing obviously illegal, but definitely suspicious.

I have reached out to the second neighbor and will let you know if it actually could be legit, but it seemed very suspicious.

I didn't believe for a minute this is legit. Please feel free to have police do drive by around the neighborhood.

It's legit.  Or at least I hope so -- since he treated my house.  The truck was branded after the company:

The sales team leader, Kaylea was on the segway while he was treating my house.  I found Kaylea had a profile on linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/kaylea-wright-mchenry/

They were definitely trying to get business door to door which I usually don't support, but I actually had been meaning to set up regular pest control services so they caught me at just the right moment to not dismiss immediately.

exactly the same person.  I have that person on multiple security camera views both spraying and cleaning out spider webs around the whole house and yard.

fwiw, this was 3 hours later in the day, so I guess once the treatments started he swapped clothing, but that's the same segway the person who first visited my house was on.  Here's the first image I ran into scrolling back in my security camera timeline (I may have a better one at the front door, but I think this is good enough):

Seems like this is definitely just an aggressive slightly shady door-to-door salesperson.

Confirmed that he stopped back in and tried to sell again when our absent neighbors came home.  

Also confirmed that neither this company nor this man are the pest control service providers for either of the neighbors he identified by name as his supposed clients.

Correction -- at least one of the named neighbors does recognize the name Aptive as their pest control service provider.
