Hit and run reported

I was out walking the dog this morning ~7:30 and had to call in a totaled car on Wright Ave, near Granada. I called the non emergency number (650)903-6344. I didn't feel up to knocking on the neighbor's door to give them the bad news, or re-traumatize them about their car in case they already knew about it. The car was smashed from behind, and no sign or parts from the impacting vehicle. 

Police forwarded me to dispatch and an officer followed up the report to inform the neighbor. I guess they did not hear the impact last night.

Perhaps if there are security images of cars with front end damage from last night, we could help resolve this incident.
