Hello all:

As some of you know, I've been helping with working with candidates and community groups in years past with City Council candidates forum logistics (partly to share information, but also to prevent overlapped bookings, which has been known to happen). Can you help me with this by directing anyone who inquires or who has details to share my way? Key to this process is that we are all looking at the same information.

Also, if I sent this to you to multiple addresses, please let me know which you would prefer to use.

As always, let me know if you have any additions, corrections, or questions along the way.

Following are events and dates to be aware of as I know them so far:
  • Thursday, August 30th, 5:30-9:30 PM: 2018 Mountain View City Council Candidate Forum, City Hall, Plaza Conference Room and Council Chambers (2nd floor), 500 Castro Street. Doors open at 5:30 pm, Candidate Forum begins at 6:30. Moderator: Bruce Humphrey, Mountain View Chamber of Commerce, President/CEO. To register: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/city-council-candidate-forum-tickets-47360935834.
  • Thursday, September 6th, sometime between 6:30 and 8:30 PM: Mountain View Coalition for Sustainable Planning (MVCSP) has invited candidates to meet with our members on this date.
  • Wednesday, September 26th, 4:00 pm to 5:15 pm with a reception following: The League of Women Voters will be hosting a MV City Council candidate forum at Charlie’s Café at Google in Mountain View.
  • Monday, October 1st: Council Advisory Body appreciation event on the evening of October 1st (please don't schedule anything overlapping this event, per Wanda Wong).
  • Thursday, October 11th, sometime between 6:30 and 8:30 PM: Mountain View Coalition for Sustainable Planning (MVCSP) has invited candidates to meet with our members on this date.
  • Monday, October 15, 2018, Meet and Greet 6:30PM-7:00PM. Forum 7:00PM-8:30PM: Old Mountain View Neighborhood Association (OMVNA) Campaign Forum, Mountain View Public Library Community Room, 585 Franklin St. Open to all interested persons.

There might be a forum event for Whisman Station also, though we haven't yet set or proposed a date for that.

Thanks!
Bruce England

Hello everyone,

Google requires attendees to have badges and fills out extra paperwork for candidates who are attending. People can RSVP for their badge on the Alliance's website at MVMHA.com and it will be pre-printed to save time.

Attendees can also register at the door, but we hope candidates will RSVP since this is your election and it requires extra paperwork. We still haven't heard from two candidates.

Please at least RSVP "no" if you plan to skip the venue to address Mountain View's Mobile Home citizens. The event is tomorrow.

Thanks,

Trey Bornmann
President
Mountain View Mobile Home Alliance
