Merit Scholarships are awarded to CSMA private lesson students who have shown a high level of commitment, talent and achievement in their studies. Merit Scholars are nominated by their teachers and must audition before a panel of judges (this year virtually). These young musicians learn valuable skills including training in stage presence, etiquette, rehearsing effectively and building a performance portfolio. They are role models for other students and ambassadors of the CSMA Music School. CSMA Merit Scholars have been accepted to prestigious music programs across the country.
