New and Now
  • The Mountain View Senior Center will be closed Monday, Jan. 16, in observance of Martin Luther King Day.
  • Our Annual Pancake Breakfast returns Saturday, Feb. 11 (Details in Special Events).
  • AARP Tax prep will return Feb. 8 with appointment reservations beginning Jan. 3. (Details in Social Services).
  • Workshops this month include Alzheimer's communication, Proper Rose Care and CTAP for both Android and iPhone users. (Details in Workshops).
  • Beginning Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023, ping pong balls will be available for sale ($2 each) at the Front Desk. Patrons are encouraged to bring their own equipment.
  • The Senior Center 2023 Winter/Spring Class Guide is now available. Click here to view 
  • Masks are strongly encouraged inside the Senior Center regardless of vaccination status.

Communicating with People with Alzheimer's
Alzheimer's Disease is only one of the several kinds of dementia, although it is the most common. Alzheimer’s can start with mild memory loss and can lead to an inability to carry on a conversation. Come learn the best tools and techniques on how to communicate with people with Alzheimer’s.

Please join us for our Annual Senior Pancake Breakfast at the Mountain View Senior Center on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 9 – 11 a.m. This event will include a hot breakfast of 2 pancakes, 2 breakfast sausages and 1 serving of eggs. From Jan. 3 through Feb. 6, tickets will be sold at the Front Desk ($5 each). Tickets can be purchased, CASH ONLY, during normal business hours, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Day of walk-ins cannot be accommodated. Please call 650-903-6330 for any questions. Event is for 55 and over.
SENIOR NUTRITION PROGRAM
Indoor Dining
Community Services Agency’s Senior Nutrition Program has a full dine in meal distribution in the Social Hall of the Mountain View Senior Center. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. Sign in will begin at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served starting at 11:45 a.m. The Social Hall will close at 1 p.m.

Grab and go is no longer offered. Contact Meals on Wheels Mountain View at 650-323-2022 for home delivery from the County of Santa Clara.

JANUARY MOVIES
Movies are on Tuesdays and Fridays at 1 p.m.
Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m.
Come to one of our movie showings in Multipurpose Room B.
Maximum seating for movies is 36. First come, first serve.
When available, screenings have captions for the hard-of-hearing. There is no fee to enjoy these popular movies and seating begins 30 minutes before the show.
NOTE: Please bundle up or bring a lap blanket with you to the movie. The room tends to be on the cooler side.
