Thank You all for a Successful Neighborhood Block Party

Hello Neighbors,

It was great to see everyone again at our annual neighborhood block party. 

I want to say Thanks to: 

1) All the volunteers who passed out announcement fliers for the Block Party;

2) All the people who help prep the food for the block party i.e. cutting the fruits, tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, cucumbers, lettuce, juicing lemons for lemonade, etc.;

3) All the people who lent their grills, canopies, and tables;

4) All the people who came early to help set up: closing off the street, getting the picnic benches from the school, setting up the table, canopies, setting the food out and getting the grills ready;

5) All the people who brought food (the noodles) and or desserts to share;

6) All the people who help grill the food;

7) All the people who help serve the food;

8) Gary from Monta Loma Neighborhood who help to twist balloons for the kids (including donating the balloons he brought to twist);

9) All the people who donated to the Community Service Agency which includes $400 in checks. All the food and check donations shows how much our neighborhood cares for others through the Community Service Agency;

9) All the people who help stay to clean up by returning the picnic table to the school, breaking down the tables and canopies, cleaning up all the trash, and gathering all the leftover stuff from the block party.

I want to say a special thanks to Wayne, Michelle and David Watson for writing the grant to fund the block party and to organize the purchasing of the food. Also a special thanks to Lawrence Shing for getting the trailer to pick up all the borrowed items i.e. grills, table and canopies, sous viding the drumstick, making the lemonade.

And finally, I want to thank you all for coming to the Block Party. It would not have been so much fun without you all coming!  Hopefully, I will see you all again next year at the block party.

Oops, I forgot to say a special Thanks to Susan Keith who was gracious enough to lend her electricity so we can have music for the block party and plug in a mini freezer so we can have ice cream for the event

I also forgot to give a special shout out to Mark Lakata for providing the sound system/music.
