“The Visual Arts scholarships are awarded to one student from each school that carries CSMA's Art4Schools program,” said Linda Covello, CSMA Art School Director. “With these scholarships, we are able to acknowledge and encourage the students’ artistic interests, as well as allow them to continue their art education at CSMA. Children build on what they learned during the school year in their art class, and continue to develop skills and express their creativity while having a wonderful summer art experience.”

Art4Schools is a weekly, hands-on skill-building visual arts program. CSMA’s in-school visual art and music programs (Art4Schools and Music4Schools) serve over 15,000 students at 30+ schools in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties. Taught by professional CSMA arts instructors as part of the school day, these programs provide quality arts education to Grades K-8 students through in-depth, sequential curricula that meet California State Educational Standards. CSMA's award-winning in-school Art4Schools curriculum develops hands-on technical skills as well as an appreciation and cultural understanding of art and its history. Art lessons coordinate with students' classroom curriculum to become an integral, enriching part of each child’s education.
