Hello Neighborhood Associations,

The updated draft of the Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan is now available for public review. The Plan describes how robust community input and thorough analysis informed a clear direction for how Mountain View will expand, enhance, and sustain its parks, open spaces, and recreation system over the next 10 to 15 years. 

Since the release of the initial draft in November 2025, City staff have reviewed feedback from the Parks and Recreation Commission (PRC) and community members and revised the Plan to incorporate what was heard. 

Visit ImagineMVParks.com to:  

• Read the updated draft Plan 
• Read the PRC and Community Feedback Summary – This summary document highlights major themes raised during public and PRC review and how those themes were addressed in the updated draft 
• Share your feedback directly on the site through Feb. 17, 2026 
• Learn about upcoming opportunities to provide input at public meetings  

 

City staff will present the draft Plan at a City Council Study Session on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026. Community members are encouraged to attend in person or virtually.
