Highlights
Just Keep Swimming - Recreation Swim Extended
Cool down during Rec Swim through September 25.
The Recreation Division is extending the Recreation Swim program through the end of September. Typically, Recreation Swim ends Labor Day weekend, however, our warm weather lasts much longer. The program will continue on the weekends through September 25 at Eagle Pool. Below is the updated Recreation Swim schedule.  
 
Recreation Swim Schedule at Eagle Pool:  
  • Saturdays and Sundays: 1:30 - 6 p.m. (May 28 through September 4)  
  • Labor Day: 1:30 - 6 p.m. (Monday, September 5) 
  • Saturdays and Sundays: 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. (September 10 through September 25)

We're "falling" into the swing of the season. Fall fitness and afterschool enrichment classes are filling up quickly!

Docent Open House at Deer Hollow Farm
Learn more about becoming a volunteer docent during the school year with Deer Hollow Farm.
Are you looking for a meaningful, fun, outdoor experience with kids? Are you interested in the farm, life sciences and/or Ohlone history? Do you enjoy working with children outdoors? Are you available on weekday mornings? If you are, come join us at Deer Hollow Farm!

We're hosting an open house so you can:
  • LEARN about the farm's school year program;
  • MEET the farm staff, Volunteers and livestock; and
  • TOUR the farm, garden and replica Ohlone Village.

Mountain View Recreation Preschool Starts in September
Get ready for Kindergarten with Mountain View Recreation.
TODAY is the Day! City of Mountain View Preschool Enrollment is OPEN! Do you have a child that is ready to start preschool this fall? The Mountain View Recreation Preschool currently has spaces available. Classes begin the week of September 6.

Tot Time (3-4 year olds) - Currently Full (Waitlist Available)
This social, play-based preschool class allows the young preschooler the opportunity to develop social and emotional fortitude skills in a stimulating and nurturing classroom environment. The curriculum includes daily art and circle activities, singing, dancing, storytelling, and finger plays.

Playschool (4-5 year olds) - Spaces Available
The Playschool Kindergarten Readiness class provides early learners with an educationally structured classroom. Students will be engaged in letter and number recognition activities as well as early reading and writing opportunities in a setting that honors students’ developmental stages as well as personal milestones. Students will be encouraged to develop the social and emotional fortitude skills necessary for kindergarten success.
Playschool meets on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays mornings from 8:30-11:30 a.m.

Nature Playschool ( 4-5 year olds) - Spaces Available
Playing outdoors is important. In Nature Playschool, children will experience the opportunity to engage in play that features discovery-based learning with nature at the foundation of the curriculum. Children will enjoy their classroom, playground and Rengstorff Park discoveries in a fun, social, nurturing and safe environment.
Nature Playschool meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
