Hello World anime is a visually stunning and emotionally resonant story about love, loss, and the second chances that life can offer. It is set in a futuristic Kyoto where a high school student named Naomi Katagaki encounters a person claiming to be himself, who time-traveled from 10 years in the future to save a classmate named Ruri Ichigyō.

What appears to be most likely is the existence of parallel worlds in the movie. Naomi travels through different timelines and various Alltale worlds to successfully change his original timeline, which indeed happens in the end. The ending suggests a happy outcome, with Naomi and Ruri ending up together in the year 2027.

Admittedly, while an engaging and touching film, Hello World also can be somewhat tricky to follow at times once the idea of a nested reality is presented: resulting from the fact that the Alltale has infinite storage, this means that something like the infinite regress problem is possible, and that there would be an infinite number of Naomis and Ruris, all of whom can exist concurrently in their own respective instances of the simulation. Notions of infinity create an ontological quandary, since infinity is, by definition, undefined. The implications of the Alltale in Hello World would doubtlessly create for interesting conversations surrounding the nature and limitations of simulated environments, determinism and free will in said environments and other topics, similarly to how the Matrix drove curious discussions about the nature of existence. Like the Matrix, the complexity of topics is such that there is not just one single theme within Hello World, and consequently, I am rather surprised that discussions of the movie are not more extensive. Beyond its thematic elements, Hello World is also a technical marvel of a movie, featuring very strong artwork and animation. With incredibly detailed renderings of landscapes and interiors alike, fluid character animation and the inclusion of different art styles to hint at the nature of the different environments Naomi goes through, Hello World pushes the envelope for what can be done within an animated medium. Hello World is, in short, a thrill to watch; the film may not be as straightforward as the average anime series, but Hello World has plenty of merit that makes it a worthwhile experience.

Hello World is animated in cell-shaded CG, often in a way that imitates, or at least attempts to, the look and feel of hand-drawn anime. The results are mixed, at least for me. Some scenes are visual spectacles that broach into the surreal, while some parts are distractingly rough and a little stiff. It is, perhaps, thematically on point. For a movie about virtual constructs and data, CG animation may be the right way to go.

One of the most dreaded thing that anime fans can concur on, is bad CGI in any anime tv shows/movies. However, Hello World not only has a decent CG, but it managed to make the full use of it. The 3D camera pan, action choreography and realistic facial expression of characters makes it quite entertaining despite the difference in aesthetic sensibilities compared to your typical 2D-movies.

Fantastical elements can be effective in creating compelling drama in anime. In NagiAsu: A Lull in the Sea, a significant mid-series event causes its sea-dwelling protagonist and his friend to disappear for five years. After the time skip, they return to the surface world without having aged a day, resulting in fascinating upheavals in their personal relationships. In Kokoro Connect, a mysterious being subjects five friends to a series of invasive phenomena that include random body-swapping and mind-reading. With various secrets and flaws being revealed without their consent, the five find the strength of their friendship tested.

In programming, the term "Hello World" is the simplest line of code yet a gateway into a world of infinite possibility and exponential complexity. Much like the film, it starts out initially eye-catching but later immerses the viewer in its tricky narrative of futuristic sci-fi, romance, technology, and memory put together. And the result is as-pretty-as-a-picture art.

It poses a question about the nature and limitations of simulated environments that add twists to the endearing youthful love of quite likeable characters. The plot adapts to that of a complex one, but it's more understandable on a rewatch and manages to be as magical as the first time. Additionally, its soundtrack is just perfection. Hello World (2019) intrigues with its interesting premise loaded with relevant themes, all while hitting most of the marks for an imaginative anime.

Yet another anime movie that thrives with its amazing visuals and animation, but falter when it comes to the story.
But with all that said, this is still *way* better than Weathering with You.

I'll admit, it was a very nice anime, but I didn't fully understand the second half (which was my fault cus I got distracted, so I don't blame the movie) but I still managed to understand most things to come up with the right rating. This had a very nice concept but I think they could've swam deeper on it and explained it further. Though the characters are so cute (How can you blame Sensei for what he did when he looks so cute). I think one highlight of this movie was the animation, CGI animes are actually very visually beautiful. I love how colorful-ish this movie was. Definitely worth a watch.

Unfortunately I've run into trouble on the first task - to run the default template "hello world" code. I've double checked that i have installed Visual Studio 2019 as directed (.NET desktop development) and created the appropriate project template (Console App with .NET core). This then loads a template program identical to the lynda tutorial. See below:

Upon opening the door, I found a twisted noontime evening
How did I get home yesterday? My body's the only thing I'm sure of
Good morning; I'll carry on with being lost once more
among the unknown sights that have become so familiar

After I figured all was lost, I've been getting by somehow,
somewhat embarrassed to be tough enough to still be alive
I know what I have to do, even if I forget
Otherwise, things become so agonizing

I look up to see someone with big black eyes
It's because I saw you that this light came to be

Surrounded by the world painted in colors of my choosing,
where do I find meaning in the scars I could not choose?
In the heart of a world where only I am the hero,
I'm onstage, appearing in every scene until the end
What do I do? I can't even pretend to be empty

Hello, hi there, here I am

Sword Art Online is a legendary anime series with a massive fanbase. One reason for Sword Art Online's success is the work of its director, Tomohiko Ito, who handled the show's first two seasons. Outside of Sword Art Online, Ito also directed a criminally overlooked movie that Sword Art Fans will love.

There are also several direct parallels between the two stories. The Alltale is similar to the Sword Art Online game world and comparable to the Underworld from SAO's "Alicization" arc. Not only is the universe inside Alltale a life-like virtual world that's nearly impossible to tell from reality, but it is also full of conscious beings who believe it to be reality. Moreover, outside forces try to manipulate this false reality for their own benefit, twisting the personalities and events that exist within it. However, while one can draw parallels between them, Hello World does take the idea in a different and mind-bending direction, meaning that it works as a kind of companion piece to Sword Art Online while still feeling very original.

At Unite Tokyo, Unity Technologies showcased Hello World running in real-time in Unity 2019.2. Hello World is a new CGI anime movie and Unity Technologies recreated some of its scenes in the Unity Engine. Not only that, but these scenes were running in real-time.

The only difference I could find was in the third comparison. In the CGI movie, the light from the lamp affects the background. In the remake, the lamp appears to be just a spotlight. Other than that, though, the real-time sequences looks as lovely as the anime itself.
