Looking for an Application System Analyst/Programmer –Lead

Work Summary
The candidate filling this Applications Systems Analyst/Programmer – Lead position will be technical resource supporting both Internal and External Environments.
- Provide SharePoint Level 2 and 3 Support for HelpDesk Tickets, primarily 7am - 5pm EST but at times 24x7
- Assure and execute proper Configuration Management of the Internal Sharepoint environment across all system design lifecycle including installing custom portals and web parts.
- Interface on technical issues as needed with External Vendors that host External Sharepoint Sites.
- Implement best practices for Sharepoint Site design, data backup, and development and on-going production support activities
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following across both Internal and External SharePoint Environments:
- Responsible for SharePoint Level 2 and 3 Support for HelpDesk Tickets, primarily 7am - 5pm EST but at times 24x7
- Monitor all SharePoint environments and proactively take action to mitigate potential problems or improve productivity
- Design, develop, maintain and document existing or proposed solutions
- Acquire or create, test, document, implement, and support approved Web Parts
- Meet with end users and gather requirements to develop functional, technical and detailed system design/enhancement specifications
- Conduct PPV and do project support work after hours as required
- Identify and resolve problems in order to provide continuous business operations.
- Administration across all components of infrastructure
- Configuration Management across all system design lifecycle including installing custom portals and web parts
- Participate in business application development through entire lifecycle (i.e., design, code, test, document, implement, support)
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience: The ideal candidate must be an outstanding technical expert, have strong written and verbal communications skills, be a self-starter and have 5 years of programming experience with a minimum of 3 years experience with MOSS 2007 / WSS 3.0, programming with Visual Studio, SharePoint 2010. Experience in migrations/upgrades from one SharePoint platform to another and management of the environments adhering to SDLC best practices.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Basic Qualifications:
- 3 years of MOSS 2007/WSS 3.0
- 3 years of .net programming with Visual Studio
- 3 years of installation , configuration, administration of SharePoint
- 3 years of service packs and hot fixes applied to SharePoint
- 3 years of installation and configuration of antivirus, ifilters and other SP components
- 3 years of STS ADM utility
- 3 years of Active Directory and IIS
- Certification/Training in MOSS 2007/WSS 3.0
- Certification/Training in SharePoint 2010
Additional Preferred Skill Requirements:
- Migration experience to SharePoint 2010
- Knowledge of SharePoint Indexing and Search
- Takes initiative
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to apply business analysis and technical skills to develop appropriate and advance solutions in support of requests for new services and functionality
