Salams Ezrin Bro,
I would appreciate it if you could provide a brief explanation on the tertib and adab before entering a new house. JKK.
JKK for the info.
Is the practice of reciting the azan on all four corners of the house considered as bida’ah? I have read somewhere that it is sunnah to recite the Takbir on all 4 corners of Kaabah upon entering it. Can we perform this upon entering a new house?
Salams Bro,
This is for our newly completed family house in Sungai Buloh. InshaAllah my elder brother Batharul Zaman will be moving in with his 2 wives and 13 kids (2 more on the way) J before Aidil Adha. So basically the tertib would be:

Swear on the Al Quaran
I have witnessed something that I have found quiet disturbing. Basically, at my work place, there was a case of sexual harassment (I am talking about physical contact, kissing, touching). Later this was know to everyone in the office and accused felt that he needs to clear things up.
In the end, he has invited selected people (2 persons) to his office to explain the situation. He has not admitted that he has done wrong, instead, he pulled out the Al Quaran, put his hand on it, and said "I have not done anything to this woman" (to its nearest meaning).
However, this has not convinced invitees, and they have questioned him further. In the end, this guy has admitted that he has done wrong to this woman, he has not clarify details of the incident, however information about the incident came from woman herself.
Do you see where I am going with this? How could anyone do such a thing, especially when it involves Al Quaran? I have also heard from different sources that this is a standard practice of many Arabs (based on experience of doing business with Arabs). Basically, I’d like to understand better, what is going through this people’s mind when they do such things?
I have asked other people view on this, but it seems as if I am the only one most upset about the incident. Basically, I was told that yes it is not good to do this, but it is ok, due to interpretations. Such as, he did say that he didn't do anything to her, but he could have meant sexual intercourse, where in fact none of this has happened, he only kissed and touched private parts. Thus, he has not committed the sin of lying.
Finally, I was told, that it is permissible to lie while putting your hand on Al Quaran and mentioning God’s name if this would save you from harm, like loosing your job, getting killed and etc…
Any comments?
