Hi brothers and sisters,

I just felt led to share this devotional. I have been writing them every day for a while now but I feel led to share this one. May it bless you.

The Lord says “Look to me, I am the author and the finisher of your faith.” Shall we begin in the Spirit and attempt to finish this journey in the flesh? Brothers and sisters, if you would join this ancient army, this kingdom that was and is and is to come, if you would march in lockstep with Gideon and with David and with Joshua, if you would run towards Goliath, if you would take on ten thousand and slay them all, if you would kneel down in the arena of life as the lions approach, if you would take your place with the heroes of faith then it is high time that we take our eyes of of ourselves and look up, look up to the cross of Calvary. Brothers and sisters, when I look up I see humility. I see my Lord humbled and naked for the whole world to see. Nothing hidden. When I look up I see justice. I see sin condemned. Oh brothers and sisters when I look up I see mercy . Mercy for me, mercy for me, mercy for me. I do not see my own condemnation, I see my Jesus. Yes, I see Jesus. There is therefore, now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.Oh what a glorious freedom. Free indeed, free indeed , free indeed. Free indeed to stand and fight. To battle even unto death, with my fellow freed men. I pray today that those whom the Son has set free will push the doors of their captivity of wretchedness, that they would realize their freedom, that they would reckon their freedom and walk out of their cells into the glorious sunlight of no condemnation and join the Lord’s army in these the final days of the battle, one more battle in the war that is already won.    www.acalltotheremnan.com

Brothers and sisters, there is freedom and beauty in the Lord Jesus and there is love, for Him and for each other. Let us promote love and joy and peace in the Holy Spirit that the world may know that we are in Him and where He is. And that we have beheld His glory..........Bro Frank

To Frank,

This came today also which ties in with what you have written.  I am sure the Lord has been showing me that it is so important to see Our Father for who he truly is. Last year he whispered to me the words " I am not a hard taskmaster".  Which I was making him out to be.  At the time I was reading  The attributes and existence of God by William Charnock.  It stated if I saw God has a hard task master how would I ever know his mercy his love and goodness to me.  I havent quite grasped the whole picture of what the Lord is revealing but it is about what you have written but also how dangerous it is to dwell on sin all the time instead of what the Lord has already accomplished and to realise we cannot change ourselves ever. So for me your message and Gary Wilkersons are confirmation from the Lord to me. The popped right into my inbox.  Thank you Jesus.

RIGHTEOUSNESS BY FAITH

by Gary Wilkerson

A lot of Christians today are worn down from their efforts to ward off sin.

They pour all their energies into it until they’re drained of every last

ounce of joy. The victory Christ has won for them gets lost in their dogged

efforts to establish a righteousness of their own.

Righteousness that is pursued by anything other than faith will always fail.

You see, there cannot be God’s righteousness and our righteousness. That

would mean there are two Gospels: His and ours. We cannot mix our

self-righteousness with God’s holy righteousness.

Maybe you wonder, “But aren’t we supposed to put forth some effort?

Doesn’t the Bible say we’re to avoid sin?” The only way to avoid sin is

through Jesus! He is not just a truth you accept; He is the living God and your

Sanctifier. His sanctifying work in you never stops day or night.

Paul answers the question of self-effort in Romans 9 when he speaks of a people

who actually attained righteousness: “[The] Gentiles who did not pursue

righteousness have attained it, that is, a righteousness that is by faith”

(Romans 9:30, ESV). These people did not get worn down by their own efforts nor

were they weighed down by their failures. They put all their faith in Jesus’

work for them on the cross—and they were sustained by His abundant life.

“Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes”

(Romans 10:4). Christ is the end. There is nothing else! “So then it depends

not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy” (Romans 9:16).

These verses have brought freedom to all generations of believers.

Friend, are you worn down from trying to do better? Are you weary of the

endless cycle of recommitment and failure? Put it all behind you! Let all your

striving cease. Your right standing with the Lord does not depend on your will

but on God, who has mercy. Trust in Him alone for your victory.

Amen sister,

There is two kinds of righteousness. One is ultimately ugly and brutish and sees devils everywhere. The righteousness of man, the man who does not have truth in the inward parts, always becomes ugly. It can start out looking pretty good, especially when compared to the popular culture, this was how the pharisees actually started, as a reaction the worldliness of those post exilic Jewish people coming out of Babylon.

Pharisees then or now are very similar. They love titles and they loved to be honored as important people. Yet God's children, those who have truth in the inward parts, love to see Jesus high and lifted up. They love to gaze upon the one that they love and the one who set them free. The Lord said that he who the Son sets free is free indeed. To saints with pure eyes, all things are pure. Pharisees only ever see the darkness.

Yet the saint who loves the Lord also loves to be obedient to the one they love, it is not a bondage, its a bond-servant relationship. It flows from a willingness to be broken and a brokenness. I read this today from a saint in Brazil, it speaks to the two voices, one the Lords and the other the devils. See if you recognize the signs.......................

Thank you Frank that is so true.  When I was born again at 16 I was free but then I started going to certain churches later in life and became burdened with another voice. The last two years in my time alone with the Lord I have heard is voice then certain Christians another voice which disturbed my Spirit.  I guess that's being tossed to and fro.   In my life I have also seen my friends go off into false teaching following signs and wonders but I would not go.   Life has had trials and I became worn out and tired, then I lost a few close friends and family these past two years which affected me a lot.  But two of those are with the Lord so in a better place so I should not be sad.   I have been praying to hear the Lords voice to me the same as I used to, his sweet voice in a desert place.  Sometimes I have felt bashed up by Christians in that other camp and its true that other voice is harsh and wants position, there is some pride involved for sure in the guise of righteousness.  Sometimes over the years there have been those who speak Gods words and yet it seems to be just their lips with no power of God.  After all the devil also knows scripture misquotes and twists it.   I thank the Lord for his words to me the last month confirming his word so there is no shifting shadow but the clear light of day and fullness of life.  Its true his word is the bread of life and brings lift to the darkness and always lifts us up out of our hopelessness. It never crushes you when you are down.   He has lifted me out of the pit of despair and I can see myself in the Spirit singing and dancing before him with joy.  I believe God can turn bad around for good or does permit us to go through things as part of our journey for his purposes. There are many Christians who are confused who have no joy who are in the slime of false teaching and do not know the magnitude of their freedom. They need the light to shine and be cut loose from completely and enter into the rest of God and his purposes for their lives.   We are seated in heavenly places after all.  Thank you Jesus so much for your words of truth through your faithful remnant those who truly know you.   I think it is in Isaiah where it says the land is parched and thirsty and they are searching for water.. but there is none...  Green trees spring up all over, and it goes on to say .. Look what the Lord has done.  He himself will come and water the land.   Are those green trees a picture of those who have the Lord Jesus shining forth from their very being?  Just a thought.  Those who know their God will do mighty exploits nothing of self is in them.  In that same book I mentioned in my last email the first chapter spoke of what Adam and Eve lost and the word used was to do with the living sap that brings life.  Only a walk in the Spirit brings life.

Amen dear sister,

What I am hearing from you are the words of a seasoned saint. Yes indeed, there are many who are tossed about. This year believing one thing, next year believing another. You can be sure that those folks are not looking unto Jesus but looking unto men and while they look unto men they will always be like leaves driven by the wind. You mention the two camps and feeling bashed by the other camp. Sister, this is a common experience by those in what I would call the David camp. What I mean by that is the Saul and David story. The Holy Spirit gave me a word a few years ago, I entitled it, " The Saul spirit is rising." It is about who the true persecutors of the remnant have always been, the religious. As it was in those days and for all of time, so it still remains today. Saul was jealous of the fact that men spoke highly of David and that David walked in the presence of the Lord, obviously the presence had departed from Saul. And so we see this ancient tension , whether it is between Saul and David or Cain and Abel or the Pharisees and Jesus or the Catholic church and the pilgrim church or even the reformers and the ana-baptists. Notice how that in all of these times the two parties both believe in God, yet one is religious and without the Spirit and is always in authority ( because this is what the religious want, position and authority) and the other is walking in the Spirit, in warm relationship with Jesus. Now why does the devil hate man so much? Is it not because man can have what he cannot? And what is that? A restored relationship with our Father in heaven. Ultimately, the true saint will always follow Jesus, though none go with them even to a martyrs death, and will be full of love and light. The religious man will always follow other men, always be worried about what other men think and their standing here on this world because in truth, they have seen nothing of the world to come, it's only so many words to them for they have never experienced the beauty and the majesty and the glory of the living God and have never been touched by eternity. It is funny you should mention the green trees and watering the land. I just wrote a piece and put it on my facebook last night about that very thing. ( I do not mean funny ha ha but surely the Spirit is at work) I will include it here below. God bless you sister in your walk. You are the apple of your heavnly Father's eye and His thought about you are more than the sands of the sea.......................bro Frank

Eze 17:22 So says the Lord Jehovah: I, even I, will also take of the top of the highest cedar and will set it; I will crop off from the first of its young twigs a tender one, I will plant it on a high and lofty mountain. Eze 17:23 In a mountain, in a high place of Israel, I will plant it. And it shall bear boughs, and bear fruit, and be a majestic cedar. And under it shall dwell every bird of every wing; in the shadow of its branches they shall dwell. Eze 17:24 And all the trees of the field shall know that I Jehovah have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish. I Jehovah have spoken and acted.

God is, even as we speak, preparing rain for the “dry tree.” From the very top of the established tree, He will pluck a tender young twig and He will plant it on a high and prominent mountain. When one views a tall tree, one cannot see the very top branches, let alone a tender twig . Does God not always keep His chosen hidden? Can we even imagine what the Lord will do with what would be considered insignificant by the world at large. When the prophet came to choose a King, was he tall and significant? Was he even considered by others? No, but God knows. God takes the tenderest of twigs, that which is considered insignificant by that which is established and He raises it up.He pulls down the proud and the arrogant, in fact, He plucks it up by the roots. The east wind spoils all of its fruits, the east wind being the influence of the world.Job 14:7 For there is hope of a tree, if it is cut down, that it will sprout again, and its tender branch will not cease.
