I think we would do well to make certain we have a leader in advance
of the call; perhaps even a back-up or 2. I also think we, and our
purpose in meeting, would be better served if we limited ourselves
time-wise. I'm sure there were many that had either prayer requests
or issues they wanted to pray over together, but their opportunity to
that was thwarted by the lack of time constraints. Certainly the one
who took the majority of the time needed prayer, but I would suggest
it would be more productive to set up another time for such lengthy
requests. To me it's just more important that we get to everyone (or
as many as possible) than review the details of one person's
experience. Please note, I'm not saying that person's details aren't
important, just that I know there were others who needed prayer, and
people I wanted to pray for (I'm certain that's true of everyone) that
were left wanting by the lack of time constraints.

I pray that this will be taken the way it is intended; to better our
efforts, not offend.

God bless,

Betty

Betty and all,

Greetings and thank-you for this email. I first want to apologize for
dropping the ball 2 weeks in a row. My father-in-law was in the ICU,
the only child (a two year old) of a family from our church almost
died (was air-lifted from our local hospital to the regional PICU),
and I was responsible to preach a wedding in Wisconsin. I certainly
don't want to make excuses, but there has been a lot on my plate.
Frank was not available, I didn't even ask Brian with all on his
plate, Roger is a CPA and is in his busiest time of year, and Edgar
is still coming back on-line with us. So hopefully next week will be
better and again I am sorry, so please forgive me.

I agree with the thoughts on preferring one another with our time, but
in some cases a shepherd is needed to guide that a little, hence the
reason for having someone lead out. If it is God's Will for this
prayer call to keep going, then let us pray He would raise up the
necessary shepherds/servants to moderate and lead out from week to
week. I am willing to continue to lead out and to carry the big
picture on my heart, but with the work and revival locally it is
necessary that we have another brother or two to help "carry the
burden". Please join in prayer for this this coming week and see how
God leads. I also welcome any direct dialogue at my personal email
address or calls by phone. Let us either do this prayer call well, or
not at all. I am certain the Lord does not delight in "half-way
jobs".

All for Jesus,

Merle W.

Merle,
May I make a suggestion. I've been around, as you, from the beginning. I have backed away when I sensed someone taking over the time, especially if I didn't think the Holy Spirit was leading. You might pray about a team of 2 or 3 pastors(elders) to be in charge. That way you have Biblical leadership and a better chance of making sure The Holy Spirit is not quenched or grieved and your prayers are heard.

Sure miss seeing you. Give a call when you get a chance sometime.

In 1858 revival, they made a formal rule that praying would be for specific lost souls only, with a 5 minute length limit. Perhaps we can ask the Lord if He wants any similar rules?

Good Eddie.

After a blessed phone call today from Bro. Blaine in AR, I am almost
feeling glad I dropped the ball last night, so we could get all this
good input and discussion going. When I got Bro. Don's email this
morning, I felt like it may be part of what I was praying about to brake
through to the next level.

Good stuff all around, keep it coming. :-)

From now till next Monday evening Let us be praying for God's direction in this matter.  At this time I am thinking Brother Don Courville's suggestion of having a group of about 3 brothers to "shepherd" the call and the vision would be in order.  Then out of that, a schedule of persons leading out (moderating etc.) could be made.  It seems to me whoever those brothers are should be ones who have continued with us from the beginning or quite a while and have a testimony of a walk with Jesus and a victorious life, walking in the Spirit, etc.

With these thoughts in mind I welcome input throughout the week, and plan to pray/press into this vision on Monday night, Lord Willing.

Because of Jesus,

Merle W.

I was certain, as I'm sure were others, that something major had come
up. I pray your father-in-law and the child are recovering. I agree
with you, too, that some good dialogue has come out of this. I pray
the Lord light our way.

Brothers Merle, Frank

The Conference Town recordings are missing for March 19 and 26. Shall I keep checking for new recordings? Also, may I delete all but the smaller .mp3 conversion files from Conference Town? They take up a lot of space. Conference Town records in .wav format (much larger files), but, allows you to convert to .mp3 before downloading. I download the .mp3, edit it, then post to Box.net.

Also, there is a new service my company does, called Pocket Cloud Explorer. It's not my department, but, they claim it's better than Box.net. Shall I look into it?

In Jesus,

...Brother Eddie

Eddie,

In another week or two we are going to update the system.  At that point I will give you further direction.  The reason there was no recording, is that the moderator (myself) deadbeated twice in a row.
