We don't impose a limit, but there may be a limit on uploaded files set by the web server.
What web server are you using?
Can you try opening the browser's Developer Tools and click the Network tab, reload the page, and try to upload again?
You should see some output from the upload. If you can get a screenshot of the tab and also of any log entries in the Console tab, that'll be a good start for tracking down what's going on.
