Hi everyone,

We're preparing finishing touches on the 1.7 release. The goal is to get an RC out this weekend, and, barring any major problems, a final release out the following week.

I've created a release-1.7.x branch for all work going into 1.7. master will be open to any features we want to hold off on for a 1.7.x release.

Once 1.7 final is out the door, we'll merge in master and all remaining 1.7 work will live on that branch, leaving master open to future 1.8 development (which, at the moment, will primarily be centered around DVCS and Django 1.5 support).

No, nothing yet. Nothing concrete anyway. We'll start on that once 1.7 is out.
