How safe is upgrading version with the tag a9e795de4032ca7033cb04028c8291c675f178b0 the latest version? The metadata format has not changed? Will it be possible to roll back?

This is rather old tag... It looks like there were no bucket-related metadata changes since then, but I would recommend to build a test backrunner binary and run it against

older metadata, if things do not work correctly (although they should), recreating buckets with the same names but new config (and new binary) should be enough.
