Revelation for Android

Hi everyone,

I would like to open Revelation files from Android. I have installed aRevelation using F-droid repositories, but it crashes in Android 7.1.1. F-droid also marked this application with a "known vulnerability" and a "disabled algorithm".  I wonder if anyone of you has found a way to use Revelation on android. Is there any other app in active development ?

I switched to Keepass on Android by Philipp Crocoll years ago.  It is a mature, maintained product that works with Keepass that I use on my Linux computer.  There is a Windows version as well.  I would be surprised if there was not an Apple version as well.  

This way, you can keep your password file on Google drive or DropBox and access it from your Android device or laptop and always have the latest version.  For added security - if storing the file in the cloud - you can also use a key file in addition to the password.

Revelation is effectively dead.

Sure that's a fine solution if you don't mind having all your passwords available to any fool who manages to hack the Keepass servers (or has backdoor access, you never know). And looky there it happened not that many months ago...

He was asking about how to open a revelation file, not what other password manager you use, so why are you answering?

I am using Android Version < 5.x. There used to be an aRevelation version compatible with older Android versions. I had to reset my mobile and now it seems impossible to find a compatible version of aRevelation.

Can anyone suggest where to look?

There is no official apk that you can download anywhere - afaik.

The oldest Repository is here: https://github.com/sviro/aRevelation/ (Android 4.3)

But it is outdated and you should not use it :D
