Installing revbayes on mac and linux

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to install the program on both my local mac and a remote linux machine (for the more heavy duty analyses). I'm a new to source installation. In both of the cases I get errors.

For mac - I tried to install the ./build-mavricks-mpi.sh but I got this errors 

CMake Error at /usr/local/Cellar/cmake/3.2.3/share/cmake/Modules/FindPackageHandleStandardArgs.cmake:138 (message):

  Could NOT find MPI_C (missing: MPI_C_LIBRARIES MPI_C_INCLUDE_PATH)

For the linux (using the ./build.sh) I get this error

./build.sh: 3: ./build.sh: cmake: not found

make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found.  Stop.

cmake . -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=release

make -j 4

Do you have any idea how I can solve this issues?

Hi Maria,

if you want to compile RevBayes using MPI, then you need to have the MPI libraries installed. That means, either you install MPI, e.g., open-mpi, or you need to compile the standard version using the build.sh script.
