IEEE Communications Society Bangalore Chapter
& IEEE Computer Society Bangalore Chapter,
In association with
the Dept of Telecommunications Engineering,
M S Ramiah Institute of Technology, Banglaore
Invites you to a
Two Day Workshop on
“Recent Advances in Computer and Communication Networks”
(Under TEQIP-II)
on 22nd and 23rd November 2013
At Hi-Tech Seminar Hall, M. S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore
Computer and Communication Networks have become very important areas
in the last decade. It is virtually impossible to imagine an important
major computer system today that isn’t heavily involved in
communication. The Internet has grown in size, speed and penetration
enormously and changed the working habit of many persons.
The rapid change and expansion of the network have also changed the
requirements on the technology used. The recent advances in
communication and networking technologies and the way in which these
are being integrated in the human, working and social framework have
made has resulted in development of different types of Communication
Networks
In general, it can be observed that the increasingly higher density
mesh of components of communications systems and the resulting growing
complexity of control requires more and more distributed and
self-organizing structures, relying on simple and dependable elements
able to collaborate to produce sophisticated behaviors. The main
feature of future communication paradigms will be the ability to adapt
to an evolving situation, where new resources can become available,
administrative domains can change and economic models can vary
accordingly.
All the above has led to a lot of advances in Communication Networks
like Optical Networks, Sensor Networks and technological changes in
Communication protocols.
Considering the enormous growth that has taken place in the area of
Computer communication and Networking, this workshop is being
conducted to focus on some of the recent key developments in this
area.
