Dear All,   17/8/2010
I am on the job, I have two proposals so far.
One is from Mumbai - This company says we need to desulfate the batteries every year and he is charging 20% of value of the batteries, which according to me is very expensive. In 5 years we would have spent equal to cost of a new battery. If the cost of new set of batteries is Rs.70,000, he will charge Rs.14,000 every year which is expensive.

The second proposal is a small equipment from USA which is to be attached to the battery permanently. This equipment desulfates the batteries in and keeps them in good condition, this machine can be switched on and off as and when desired. The cost is below  20,000. I am still getting more details.
I am personally in favour of this. I may install one in my car to see the effects.
Will keep you all informed
Regards
Ranjit N Mehta

1 - the First proposal was from Mumbai - The gentleman wanted 20% cost of the batteries as
his service charges with a minimum of 5 cars. However he agreed to reduce it to 15% which
still was very high. (The cost of new batteries is in the rane of 75,000)
2 - The second proposal was from Delhi, the person was selling units which has to be fitted with
the batteries on permanant basis. He says that he has no experience on reva cars but desulfation of
batteries at other sites are successful.
However I have kept this pending since Mrs.Saraswathi bhatt of go green Reva services Bangalore
(authorised reva service centre) has imported one desulfaction unit.
It is expected to be in Bangalore during this month.
She plans to try them on the reva cars. We are very hopeful that this may solve many problems.
please contact her on her  mobile 9980554265 - 26766364 to know the current situation.

dear ambika and sri Chakrapani
I refer to my emails of DEC 2010.
Unfortunately Mrs. Saraswathi has dropped the project. She is not going to import the machines.
Therefore we have to go back to the original proposal of the Mumbai party.
He is coming to Bangalore on 26th (Monday) I am getting my car batteries desulfated. This is a new technology
and he has given shown me many letters of Mumbai parties who are satisfied with the desulfation.
It is a chance I have to take. Since he is coming for the first time, he is reducing his price to Rs.10,000 for 4 cars
+ cost of travelling and accommodation. The cost per car will come around 4500. If you or any one is interested we can try out
the new technology.
Please reply me either way of your interest in a day or two.

dear ambika and sri Chakrapani
Nice to hear from you.
I have fitted the unit in my reva car. There is slight improvement.
Actually my batteries are about 5 years old and almost dead.
Therefore we cannot get better mileage even after using the desulfation equipment.
I have a feeling that this unit should be fitted when the batteries are new so that desulfation takes place right from
the beginning. I will be changing the batteries for the second time and also will attach the equipment and observe how it works.

Ranjit N Mehta

Dear Ranjit,

Thanks for your feedback.

I have already fitted with new set of batteries and have done 12,000 kms with them.

Please let me know the details of the desulfation equipment details and its availability as I am interested fitting one in my car.

Regards,

Chakrapani PA
