$4000+ raised for Fr Themis
High Tea a sell-out success with over 140 people in attendance!
Thank you for your support at our Father's Day High Tea for Father Themis' Orthodox Mission of Sierra Leone. Together, with over 140 people in attendance and the generosity of our members, guests and supporting businesses, we raised over $4000.00. 100% of all these funds and any further donations we receive will be distributed this week to Father Themis' mission for quarantine against the Ebola virus outbreak and the costs of running the mission's schools, college, clinics and church.
Our Father's Day function was blessed with glorious weather adjoining the Docklands' Victoria Harbour. We were humbled to listen to Mary Adams, Fr Themis' recently returned sister, who recounted the "abject poverty" of the Sierra Leoneans. Louis Toumbas, International PK4A Director, also spoke, leaving not one guest with a single doubt about the genuine needs of the mission.
