Dear P4K & Rev Themi supporters,

Today, December 24, Christmas Eve 2014, we achieved our Christmas Day target and have the funds to pay for the 3 Containers of Rice that left Vietnam on the 23rd of December; that's 6,000 x 10kg bags of Rice for the poor.

All in all, 556 individuals paid for one container and 2 Australian corporate donors paid for the other two; from 16 different countries, we as a group of Christians, both Orthodox and non Orthodox, have come together in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to help Fr Themi help the poor in Sierra Leone.

I spoke to Fr Themi this morning and he was so grateful for each and every one of us he wanted each and every persons name for prayer; so I have sent a list of every donor to Fr Themi and he will be praying for each and everyone of us on Christmas day (Sierra Leone Time).

Jesus said - Luke 14:12-14. “When you give a luncheon or a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, lest they also invite you in return, and repayment come to you. But when you give a reception, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, since they do not have the means to repay you; for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”

Today and tomorrow, while we celebrate the birth of Christ with our families and friends, we are all be blessed, knowing, that today we have fulfilled these words that Christ said.
