As you may recall for 2015 Rev3 is not buying us uniforms, instead we asked them to get the elite team race entry discounts via swaps with other teams for Rev3 races. As a result many of the elite races this year are half price. On the other hand we all need to buy our own uniforms. So if you are thinking of moving up to the elite squad...the races are cheaper but you still buy your own kit.
Greg from the Rev3 race production team has put together a jersey and short design with a company that lets us order individually but take advantage of a group discount. It's the company they used for the Rev3 gear (I think). Once you login with the team details you'll be asked to make your own login. After that you can pick out items to purchase and pay directly. I've found the cheapest jersey is the "CS Tech Short Sleeve Jersey" that runs for about $55. They offer options that are designed for hot weather but cost a little more ($70-$80). It also appears that you can order from other lines of their product (think t-shirts, jackets, etc.) and request they use the Rev3 design proof. I found the website not very user-friendly, but eventually found the info I needed. Note these are identical to what the elite team will be wearing (same design) to get the maximum benefit of the group discount.
Don't feel pressured into buying something if you don't want to, this is not mandatory. If you have plenty of gear from prior years, that's fine. If you prefer to wear a Rev3 t-shirt instead that is fine too. But we do look pretty slick all kitted up...
Details from Greg:
Log into http://custom.champ-sys.com/Login/en-US/
Under team member login input the following:
log in name: rev3adventure
password: navigation
once you've done this you will put in your own log in information and password so you can order specifically what you want. The store is open until March 31st. Everyone needs to order within that time frame. Also a reminder, everyone is responsible to pay for their own kits and whatever else they want.
Feel free to ask me questions. This is my first time using this company too, so I may have to do some digging for an answer.
