Reuse Alliance is thrilled to announce that this week the City of Austin held their first annual Reuse Day/Week Proclamation - in conjunction with Reuse Alliance's campaign to make October 20th of every year "National Reuse Day".

Please help us spread the word about Austin's efforts, by forwarding their release and photos through your networks (see attached). It would be great if you can share it on your websites, e-newsletters, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, platforms with the hashtag #ReuseDay - so we can track the effect of this promotion and awareness effort!

If you're in the Austin area -- please promote it within your own organization, events and programs during the week of October 20 – 26!

Congratulations to Bob Gedert and Julie Rhodes of Austin Resource Recovery for getting this ground-breaking proclamation implemented; and a big thanks to Rebecca Stuch of Reuse Alliance TX & Austin Creative Reuse, for representing the reuse community in Austin.

Regards,
MaryEllen
