Things Are “Heating Up” at The Foundry!

Things Are Heating UpThe weather is turning cooler, but things are just beginning to heat up at The Foundry! With money we raised from many of you during our IndieGoGo campaign we’ve purchased a waste vegetable oil heating system.

It's part of our mission to leverage waste in the community to get things done and save money. The heating system will keep costs low, use local materials, and create a warm, cozy environment for our residents and guests.

We’re still looking to identify local sources of waste vegetable oil, from restaurants, institutions, or schools. If you know businesses that may be willing to donate their used oil, please email us at in...@thefoundrybuffalo.org.

There’s A Lot to Celebrate!

Chili CookoffWe hope you’ll join us this Saturday, October 12th  from Noon to Five for our Second Saturday, featuring a CHILI COOKOFF!

Do you have a winning CHILI recipe? Well, whip it up and bring a pot to Second Saturday. Submit your chili by 1:30 p.m. Voting will take place between 2 and 3 pm.

We’ll be roasting COFFEE, brewing BEER, and eating CHILI. There will be live and lively music by the Mark Filsinger Jazz Quartet and freshly harvested produce by the Farmer Pirates.

Not to mention demonstrations and wares by our talented cast of resident and visiting artisans. It's a party and we hope you’ll join us to celebrate the success of how much we’ve accomplished together!

Have You Built The Foundry?

Help Build The Foundry! The Foundry welcomes individuals and groups to get involved in growing and developing the space. Now more than ever, we need your help as we prepare for the move-in of more residents and the coming of winter.

If you’re part of a school, church, or community group looking for a tangible and meaningful volunteer experience, please email in...@thefoundrybuffalo.org. We welcome all groups and all levels of experience. We'd love to put your name on the wall as someone who helped build The Foundry.

Mark Your calendars!
