bullitt_0620The brand new Bullitt Center just opened this week, and the attendees of Decon '13 are getting a very exclusive look behind the scenes at Cascadia's new home.  This building is a candidate for certification under the rigorous Living Building Challenge (planning for the building's end of life is a prerequisite of certification!), and a limited number of Decon '13 attendees will get a chance to walk the building with the architect!  Sign Up Today!

Get online today and get registered for Decon '13 - Don't miss out on these one of a kind sessions!

This weeks's featured exhibitor is ReConnx - Maker of the Nailkicker!

nailkicker Is it time for you and that prybar to take some time apart? Check out the pneumatic NailKicker, we'll have it on-site at the Live Deconstruction field session, in the expo hall on Tuesday - and then we're going to auction it off!

VERSATILE:
  • Easily removes nails in lumber and sheathing by striking them from the pointed end or the head
  • Removes flooring cleats from the point in one or two hits
  • Drives the head of nails through material up to ¾” thick. (Great for quickly releasing barn siding from studs, sheathing from backing & pallet deck boards from runners without leaving hammer marks.  (It's the only tool we know of that can do that‼)
  • sets existing nails to any depth below surface of wood in one hit
  • Driver depth of penetration into the wood is easily adjustable by thumbscrew
PRODUCTIVE:
  • Can pay for itself in 40 hours or less by improving productivity.
  • 2 to 4 times faster than by hand.  Less rests needed by denailing crew.
  • Mitigates worker fatigue and muscle strains.

This weeks's featured speaker is Nathan Benjamin - Founder of Planet Reuse and Planet ReStore!
