I am building a new home for the Zeta V2. All that's left for me to do is make the inscriptions. Anyone have an idea how to do this? Self-adhesive laser printer foil?

You you could ring onto sticky labels or if you have the capability, 3D print the entire front and back panels with raised text with the text in a different colour filament to the panel colour. I do this all the time for running medals... I have included an image to give you an idea of what I am on about, 3D printing wise.

Tadeusz,

That's a really professional looking case! How'd you design it and have it made?

My low tech solution to a similar problem was to print out the lettering
on a transparency sheet and then attach it with a piece of invisible
tape.

Hi Jacob, Mark

The universal casing is factory-made - Kradex Z112B, well-fitted, and its length is perfect for this project. Handle, front and back my 3D print. @Mark - however, the font size precludes its printing, from the 0.4mm nozzle.

It's true, very small text is " fun " but with good fort choice things are possible

I’d use a laser cutter to make the front and back panels, and etch the labels in them.

some of the older inkjet printers provided an adapter that could print onto CDs, i have these for an epson r220 and cannon 600, but never tried to use them. I was wondering if it might be possible to persuade them to print directly onto flat panels. The ink probably needs to be protected with a laminate or lacquer.

Another possibility might be printing on a heavy duty photo paper, again with a laminate cover to protect the ink.

Take a look at these HP printers:

HP Smart Tank Plus Printers

You may be able to use them for your application.

Another possibility is to print on a transparent label.  This is a clear sheet with adhesive back that goes through the printer.  Then remove the backing paper and apply the sheet to the object's surface.  Here is the Avery product:

Avery Printable Sticker Paper for DIY Crafts, Glossy Clear, 8.5" x 11", Laser & Inkjet Printers, 7 Sheets (4397)

Hope this helps.  I plan to try the Avery product on my system box.

Best regards,
Tom.
