Hi Not new to CP/M but not used in anger for decades1
Just built the above and it works but having trouble with uploading files to it.
I am a Linux user (not windows) mainly and have used putty for things like this in the past.I wanted to put zork(1/2/3) on the 131 but having trouble doing so. Could some one please either point a link to somewhere that explains how to do this form linux/non windows, or give me some pointers?
I tried cool term but can't seem to find the right settings for it. The screen constantly rescrolls every time I type a letter. Also I can't seem to transfer any files without lots of errors. I did copy one file (download.hex) ok but any com files just error out?
I understand this is prob a basic hole in my knowledge here.Any help would be welcome.

I have now got Cool term to 'behave' lol I had forgotten just how many setting there were in RS-232!!

Zork uploaded.  Not realised just how much I have forgotten about CP/M (it is 35 years ago since I last used it in anger!).

I have a 2gig SD card in at the mo and the number of slices presented are of course no where near that capacity. How can I use more? Or should I just use a smaller card ?I do have some 128meg /256/meg ones.

Hi Alan

RomWBW supports 256 (I think) slices. The ASSIGN command allows mapping of any slice to one of the available drive letters. So a 2GB SD card is good.

I don’t have time for a decent explanation at the moment, but the RomWBW User Guide should answer most of your questions.

Thanks, Wayne

Your baud rate limitation sounds like an issue with flow control.  The SC131 has no trouble with 115200 baud if flow control is enabled at the host computer and in the serial cable.

There is an anomaly in the Z180 built-in serial ports.  The second Z180 serial port has no RTS/CTS flow control.  It is literally not implemented in the Z180 chip.

Thanks, Wayne

A lot of old 32-bit devices have a problem with SD cards of over 32 Gbyte. So to be safe use a 32 Gbyte SD-card at most.
