Hello

I am interested on hardware and software proyects, and specially those around the rc2014 platform and Fuzix, although not exclusively to them

Although at Github, at  EtchedPixels / FUZIX / Kernel / platform-rc2014-68008/
it says it uses a "68008 prototype card with wire fixes" , I have been searching on the internet but have not found any information regarding schematics, design , PCB, Gerber or  Kikad files.

At social.elinux.org/tags/rc2014  (which it seems to be forum not used today) it is mentioned a 68008 RC2014 CPU card , but I have not found more information on it

Any information on it will be apreciated.

Thanks for your attention,
Alvaro

It's still a work in progress. I have another revision of the board ready for my next batch of PCBs to China but I've no idea when I'll get around to sending them off. Partly I need to revisit the changes as I was trying to get it to work with the CF adapter. However having made all the changes to adjust the signals and added the extra logic it seems that the fundamental problem is that the NMOS 68008 would still need a buffered IDE adapter anyway like the PPIDE so I need to go unpick half the changes and fix up the PCB layout again.

I can share the schematic etc with you if  you want.

I've made a skeleton project for it at

Thank you very much!
It seemed that the problem was, as you have said, that it is not finished, is work in progress (too much things to fix, test and design).
Ok!  I will continue to investigate in ths sort of thing, it seems I have a long way to walk  8)

By the way, let me say I am triying to make some card to work with a 68k CPU and Fuzix  (also with Z80)

I have seen several designs for 68k cpu's over there:

Jeff Tranter (based on Alan Clements design)
John Coffman designs
Bill Shen designs
Rosco
68Katy
and more...

It will go slow for me, too much to learn, but I have thought that at least I will learn things in the way

Alvaro,
Are you successful in getting Fuzix to run on Tiny68K?  Here is a description on how to boot Fuzix on Tiny68K:

Thanks Bill !

I will rey It, although, yo be honest, y had problems with the serial(USB) connection, most probable because I was doing something wrong

Yesterday I saw that for the CB030 board It os specified the parameters for the connection

Next thing I will do is test the connection for CB030

I suppose for tiny68k , It uses the same parameters for the connection. Is that right?

I can give you feedback when I try to install and test Fuzix with Tiny68k, if you want.

Please be patient with me!   8)

Alvaro

Tiny68K and CB030 serial port setting are similar but have one difference.  Both Tiny68K and CB030 are 38400, 8 data bit, 1 stop bit, and no parity.  Tiny68K needs hardware handshake whereas CB030 does not.  Tiny68K will work just fine without hardware handshake until you want to transfer files using gkermit.  CB030 is fast enough that gkermit will work without needing handshakes.

Ok, thanks!
I am very happy this morning, because  I tested both boards, and the connection worked fine!
So things take a good shape for playing with both cards
Probably one of the first thing will be to try to install Fuzix on Tiny68K
