Hi all,

I am trying to boot Fuzix 0.4 on my SC126 and all I get is:

RomWBW HBIOS v3.0, 2020-03-27

At this point I only see activity on the LEDs bouncing back and forth but no further boot. No other extra Card besides the standard RC2014 CF Storage Card v1.3 is connected to the system, nor anything on the I2C or SPI Bus.

Any advice on how to proceed would be helpful :)

Hi Adrian,

I can't tell you what is wrong, but below is the output on my SC126 booting Fuzix. You have an older version of RomWBW and your boot stops at the point where you should be offered the bootdev. If I were you I'd try updating RomWBW and if that doesn't work reimaging the CF card. Or you might try putting the Fuzix image on an SD card instead. I'm using an SC145 CF storage card.

Might be worth a try, but I don't think it will help.  At the point that the Fuzix boot stops, you have already fully transitioned to Fuzix code.  RomWBW really just acts as a loader for Fuzix.

It is not obvious to me what is going wrong.

Thanks, Wayne

The 0.4 build wrongly decides you have a graphics card. It's a bug
that's been fixed a while so once 0.5 comes out all should work fine
as should a build from git.

Adrian,
Of course,  Wayne is right. So I think I'd try an SD card rather than the CF.

I also have Fuzix 0.4 booting on a SC126.  I am booting Fuzix from a CF card using ROMWBW v3.4 but you can also boot Fuzix using the monitor.   I am using a pre-built SC111 Fuzix image from here:   https://www.fuzix.org/downloads/0.4/sc111/

Hi Alan,

Thanks for the info. I tried to compile the GIT Code, but ran into an issue here.

Bintools have been built successfully
/opt/fcc/bin is in the PATH

When i try to build the Compiler Kit I get this error:
mkdir -p /opt/fcc//lib/nova
mkdir -p /opt/fcc//lib/nova/include/
cp lordernova /opt/fcc//bin/lordernova
cp: cannot stat 'lordernova': No such file or directory
make: *** [Makefile:362: bootinst] Error 1

Any Ideas?

Br,
Adrian
