I'm having directory full issues with these operating systems. CPM and ZSDOS I am able to create a few files before getting directory full errors. I'm talking less than a dozen files. In some cases I might only be to get a single file for a given drive letter. When I tried ZPM3 all the drive letters showed full directories, a list of | spaces . spaces |. I am using SanDisk Extreme III compact flash cards. Some of the cards are almost 20 years old but work in my digital cameras. I don't have any new compact flash cards to try. Before I buy new cards I'm hoping someone can suggest something to try to resolve this issue. I have CPM under SCM working but haven't tried creating several file yet. Thanks.

Use CLRDIR for empty drives, it will help.

Thank you. I've cleared all the directories (D: to J: were all full) after a clean install.

Could you clarify?  Do you mean you cleared the directories prior to having any problems or do you mean you have subsequently cleared the directories and now you are OK?

If you are sill having the problem of running out of space (after clearing directories), could you provide a full session log showing system boot up, operating system startup, clearing a directory, and copying files to it?  There are a lot of variables and a log would really help.

Thanks,

Wayne

Thanks for your response.

1. fresh install of zsdos (as directories were full, even though there was less than a dozen files in total across d: to j:)
2. check the directories
3 directories D: to J: are full
4. clrdir on directories D: to J:
5. check the directories
6. diretories D: to J: are empty

Now I'm going to recreate the files and see what happens.

I have created several files now in a couple of directories without issues. I hope my problem is resolved. Thanks to all who responded.
