The ZSDOS Users Guide (RomWBW/Source/ZSDOS/zsdos.pdf) references a Programming Manual in section 1.1. Anybody know of a copy? I tried googling - no luck.

Thanks

Years ago, I found a German translation of the programming manual (where
exactly, is lost in memory). I spent a day or three translating it back
into English.

I have it as WordStar source and an ASCII print file, in a LBR file. Or
separate. The LBR is 130K, with the contents CRunched. I can also just
put the files into a regular ZIP.

If the English original is lost to time, I can post it to the list as an
attachment if that's permissible, or fire a copy off directly to you.

Regards,
Wayne

And once I started looking, it didn't take very long at all to track
down the German version of the programmer's manual that I started with
way back when.

Thanks Wayne,

The ZDOS manual will be most useful.

Thanks Wayne. A Zip of the text version would be cool.

Either the file was generated for A5, paper, or a printer with more lines per page, or ... the line numbers got out of sync with blank lines at the top of each page. Anyhow, I think I corrected it and converted to Word format (attached... I hope ;). Let me know if it needs to be corrected...

Wayne, I added a note at the very end to give some provinaunce to the document. Please let me know if you don't wish to be immortalized ;)

For whatever reason, even though I specified "Use form feeds" when I
printed it, WS4 didn't seem to want to do that with the plain ASCII
print to file. They just seem to have vanished. Shrug! If your changes
look good to you, I'm sure it's fine. :)

Wayne,

Having done some work on "Z" code (ZDE and ZXD) this would be helpful.

Thanks.

Wayne/Peter

Question : would it be appropriate to contribute this document back to the RomWBW project , so others can benefit ?

If that's appropriate copyright wise, I certainly have no objections.
I'm not the document's owner; I just did an off the books translation.

Looking at the users guide (/Users/Randy/Documents/Hobbies/z80/RomWBW/Doc/CPM/ZSDOS Manual.pdf) has the provonide on the front page, but I don't know if that was an addition to the original. I assume the programming guild should follow suit?

I assume that this document is in the public domain by now... but that's just my assumption.

Mr RomWBW (Wayne Warthen) is a member of this group, correct? I'll send him an email just in case.

Yes, I am very happy to add this document to the RomWBW distribution documentation.  I would also assume that this is now public domain.  I will add the document to the GitHub repository in the next day or two.

Thanks, Wayne

Cool. Here's a copy in Word and PDF with the province notes moved to the front page... better?

Let me know if you need other edits/conversations.

Greet.  Got it this time.  I am fine with the provenance notes being on the front page.  I will post this to the RomWBW GitHub repository in the next couple days.  I will add a credit to you and Wayne H. for this contribution.

Thanks, Wayne

Wayne you might want to consider updating (adding) links in the OS sections of user guide, specifically for Z-System and NZcom which I think use ZSDOS

The ZSDOS Programmer's Manual has been added to the RomWBW Repository.

Thanks!
